Rotational Correction on the Morse Potential Through the Pekeris Approximation and Nikiforov-Uvarov Method

open access: yes, 2005
The Nikiforov-Uvarov method is employed to calculate the the Schrodinger equation with a rotation Morse potential. The bound state energy eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenfunction are obtained.

An approach to calculate Franck-Condon factors involving anharmonic potentials using harmonic oscillator bases

open access: yesJournal of Physics Communications
In this contribution a discrete variable representation (DVR) approach to calculate Franck-Condon factors (FCFs) is presented. The method is illustrated using a harmonic oscillator basis. The advantage of this approach is that it is possible to calculate

Relativistic solutions of the morse potential via the formula method

open access: yesChemical Physics Impact, 2022
The Dirac equation is solved using the Formula method. A non-relativistic mapping gives energy eigenvalues, in this limit, for a Hamiltonian including the Morse potential.

Topological origin of the phase transition in a mean-field model

open access: yes, 1999
We argue that the phase transition in the mean-field XY model is related to a particular change in the topology of its configuration space. The nature of this topological transition can be discussed on the basis of elementary Morse theory using the ...

Sustaining the teaching profession: Innovating the ‘golden thread’ in university‐led teacher education

open access: yesBritish Educational Research Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract This paper examines the implications of England's ‘golden thread’ policy framework for teacher education, which describes a state‐mandated, linear model of professional learning from initial teacher training and education through to continuing professional development.

Beyond Closed Loops: Advancing Climate Change Mitigation by Collaborative Open Approaches

open access: yesBusiness Strategy and the Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Even as world leaders emphasize the urgency of limiting global warming, a slow transition to a circular economy persists. While climate mitigation efforts focus on renewable energy and efficiency measures, addressing the 45% of emissions from product manufacturing remains critical.

Algebraic treatment of the confluent Natanzon potentials

open access: yes, 2002
Using the so(2,1) Lie algebra and the Baker, Campbell and Hausdorff formulas, the Green's function for the class of the confluent Natanzon potentials is constructed straightforwardly. The bound-state energy spectrum is then determined.
