Optical flow for large motion using gradient technique [PDF]

open access: yesSerbian Journal of Electrical Engineering, 2006
In this paper, we present the gradient-based optical flow method that estimates the two-dimensional velocity of object motion. a multi-resolution smoothing operation proposes in this paper as a pre-processing step for overcoming the difficulty of large ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Genetic Algorithm-Based Motion Estimation Method using Orientations and EMGs for Robot Controls

open access: yesSensors, 2018
Demand for interactive wearable devices is rapidly increasing with the development of smart devices. To accurately utilize wearable devices for remote robot controls, limited data should be analyzed and utilized efficiently. For example, the motions by a

Real-Time Optimal States Estimation with Inertial and Delayed Visual Measurements for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

open access: yesSensors, 2023
Motion estimation is a major issue in applications of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). This paper proposes an entire solution to solve this issue using information from an Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and a monocular camera.

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Ship Motion Parameter Estimation and Refocusing Method Based on Minimization of Position Offset in Multiview Missile-Borne SAR Images

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
Motion compensation helps mitigate the defocusing effects observed in ship synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images caused by ship’s noncooperative motion, and its effectiveness depends on the accuracy of motion parameter estimation.

MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

R-DEHM: CSI-Based Robust Duration Estimation of Human Motion with WiFi

open access: yesSensors, 2019
As wireless sensing has developed, wireless behavior recognition has become a promising research area, in which human motion duration is one of the basic and significant parameters to measure human behavior. At present, however, there is no consideration
