Comparison of Tenth-Grade Students’ Understanding Concept of Motion Between Domino and Snake and Ladders Media

open access: yesJPFT (Jurnal Pendidikan Fisika dan Teknologi), 2023
Physics learning should be student center. Students used as learning centers impact their understanding of the material or concepts being taught. However, students do not get to learn like that. It impacts students’ low level of understanding of physics

Physically based motion transformation [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 26th annual conference on Computer graphics and interactive techniques - SIGGRAPH '99, 1999
We introduce a novel algorithm for transforming character animation sequences that preserves essential physical properties of the motion. By using the spacetime constraints dynamics formulation our algorithm maintains realism of the original motion sequence without sacrificing full user control of the editing process.

Amusement Park Physics in Panggon Lunjak (Trampoline): Analysis of Kinematics and Energy Use Video Tracking

open access: yesInternational Journal of Science and Applied Science: Conference Series, 2017
Panggon Lunjak (trampoline) is one of the famous amusement parks among the people that we can use as a recreation to enjoy a pleasant sensation. Without us knowing the amusement park that we often encounter is actually the result of the application of ...

On the Status of the Geodesic Principle in Newtonian and Relativistic Physics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
A theorem due to Bob Geroch and Pong Soo Jang ["Motion of a Body in General Relativity." Journal of Mathematical Physics 16(1), (1975)] provides a sense in which the geodesic principle has the status of a theorem in General Relativity (GR).

Exploring new states of matter with a photonic emulator

open access: yesPhysical Review Research, 2023
We implement the equation of motion of the large-N Gross-Neveu model from strong-interaction physics in photonic waveguide arrays and study one of its paradigmatic multifermion bound-state solutions in an optical experiment. The present study constitutes

Quantum particle motion in physical space [PDF]

open access: yesAdvanced Studies in Theoretical Physics, 2014
Using Feynman's representation of the quantum evolution and considering a quantum particle as a matter field (continuous medium), it is shown that individual particles of the field have unique paths of the motion. This allows describing motion of the quantum particle continuous medium by Lagrange's method.

The motion of a leaking oscillator -- a study for the physics class

open access: yes, 2014
This work is basically about the general form of Newton's second law for variable mass problems. We develop a model for describing the motion of the one-dimensional oscillator with a variable mass within the framework of classroom physics.

A Note on the Toda Criterion for Interacting Dipole-Quadrupole Vibrations [PDF]

open access: yes, 1997
The Toda criterion of the Gaussian curvature is applied to calculate analytically the transition energy from regular to chaotic motion in a schematic model describing the interaction between collective dipole and quadrupole modes in atomic nuclei.Comment:

Music for Cells? A Systematic Review of Studies Investigating the Effects of Audible Sound Played Through Speaker-Based Systems on Cell Cultures

open access: yesMusic & Science, 2022
There have been several studies investigating whether musical sound can be used as cell stimuli in recent years. We systematically searched publications to get an overview of studies that have used audible sound played through speaker-based systems to ...
