Motion responses in scene-selective regions
The vast majority of studies on scene processing were conducted using stationary scenes. However, during natural vision, scene views change dynamically due to self-induced eye-, head-, and body-motion, and these dynamic changes are crucial for other higher-level functions such as navigation, self-motion perception, and spatial updating.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...

Floating Behavior of a Composite Bucket Foundation under the Combined Action of Wind and Waves
In this study, a composite bucket foundation (CBF) was investigated by taking into account the reflection and refraction effects of waves. A numerical model for the motion responses of the structure under different wave heights and wave periods was built

Neural Models of Motion Integration, Segmentation, and Probablistic Decision-Making [PDF]
When brain mechanism carry out motion integration and segmentation processes that compute unambiguous global motion percepts from ambiguous local motion signals? Consider, for example, a deer running at variable speeds behind forest cover.

The response of a floating ice sheet to an accelerating line load [PDF]
The two-dimensional response of a thin, floating sheet of ice to a line load that accelerates from rest at $t = 0$ to a uniform velocity V for $t \geq T$ is determined through an integral-transform solution of the linearized equations of motion.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...
