Tension response analysis of mooring system and movement response analysis of drilling rig based on the AQWA

open access: yesJournal of Hebei University of Science and Technology, 2015
The environmental loads such as wind, wave, flow onto drilling rig and mooring system of the HaiYangShiYou 981 are analyzed according to the actual working condition in South China Sea. The Haiyang Shiyou 981 drilling rig is chosen as the research object

TRAIL‐PEG‐Apt‐PLGA nanosystem as an aptamer‐targeted drug delivery system potential for triple‐negative breast cancer therapy using in vivo mouse model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Aptamers are used both therapeutically and as targeting agents in cancer treatment. We developed an aptamer‐targeted PLGA–TRAIL nanosystem that exhibited superior therapeutic efficacy in NOD/SCID breast cancer models. This nanosystem represents a novel biotechnological drug candidate for suppressing resistance development in breast cancer.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Motion extrapolation is not responsible for the flash–lag effect

open access: yesVision Research, 2000
To achieve perceptual alignment between a flashed target and a moving one, subjects typically require the flashed target to be aligned with a position that the moving target will only reach some time after the flash (the flash-lag effect). We examined how the magnitude of this misalignment changes near an abrupt change in velocity. The magnitude of the

Network divergence analysis identifies adaptive gene modules and two orthogonal vulnerability axes in pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Tumors contain diverse cellular states whose behavior is shaped by context‐dependent gene coordination. By comparing gene–gene relationships across biological contexts, we identify adaptive transcriptional modules that reorganize into distinct vulnerability axes.

Perceived Motion Sickness and Effects on Performance Following Naval Transportation

open access: yes, 2012
The present study focused on the relationship between previous experiences of, and rated susceptibility to, motion sickness and its correlation to subjective measurements and actual performance.

A smoothed particle hydrodynamics method for the fluid-structure interaction between waves and flexible net panels: modelling, validation and analysis

open access: yesEngineering Applications of Computational Fluid Mechanics
With the expansion of mariculture into offshore areas, analysing the hydrodynamic characteristics of net cage structures under wave action has become increasingly important.
