Dynamic Modelling of Piston the Motion in Combustion Engines

open access: yesCommunications, 2022
The presented work discusses a methodology for analysis of noise emissions from a diesel engine. A numerical model of the piston motion, analyzing its lateral, reciprocating and rotation motion, has been presented in order to investigate the lateral ...

RHONN Modelling-enabled Nonlinear Predictive Control for Lateral Dynamics Stabilization of An In-wheel Motor Driven Vehicle [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2022
Featuring the fast response and flexibility in control allocation, an electric vehicle with in-wheel motors is a good platform for implementing advanced vehicle dynamics control. Among many active safety functions of an in-wheel motor driven vehicle (IMDV), lateral stability control is a key technology, which can be realized through torque vectoring ...

ShcD adaptor protein drives invasion of triple negative breast cancer cells by aberrant activation of EGFR signaling

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identified adaptor protein ShcD as upregulated in triple‐negative breast cancer and found its expression to be correlated with reduced patient survival and increased invasion in cell models. Using a proteomic screen, we identified novel ShcD binding partners involved in EGFR signaling pathways.

Inhibitor of DNA binding‐1 is a key regulator of cancer cell vasculogenic mimicry

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Elevated expression of transcriptional regulator inhibitor of DNA binding 1 (ID1) promoted cancer cell‐mediated vasculogenic mimicry (VM) through regulation of pro‐angiogenic and pro‐cancerous genes (e.g. VE‐cadherin (CDH5), TIE2, MMP9, DKK1). Higher ID1 expression also increased metastases to the lung and the liver.

MOVESTAR: An Open-Source Vehicle Fuel and Emission Model based on USEPA MOVES [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
In this paper, we introduce an open-source model "MOVESTAR" to calculate the fuel consumption and pollutant emissions of motor vehicles. This model is developed based on U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Motor Vehicle Emission Simulator (MOVES), which provides an accurate estimate of vehicle emissions under a wide range of user-defined ...
