Automated FRAP microscopy for high‐throughput analysis of protein dynamics in chromatin organization and transcription

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
RoboMic is an automated confocal microscopy pipeline for high‐throughput functional imaging in living cells. Demonstrated with fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP), it integrates AI‐driven nuclear segmentation, ROI selection, bleaching, and analysis.

An Enhanced EWMA Model for Statistical Insights in Process Monitoring with Application in Brake Pad Failure and Carbon Fiber Strength

open access: yesJournal of Statistical Theory and Applications (JSTA)
Conventional control charts often assume normality, which may not hold for many engineering processes. In cases where processes follow an Inverse Maxwell $$\left( {{\text{IM}}} \right)$$ IM distribution, as seen in various industrial applications, it ...

Cointegrated VARMA models and forecasting US interest rates [PDF]

open access: yes
We bring together some recent advances in the literature on vector autoregressive moving-average models creating a relatively simple specification and estimation strategy for the cointegrated case. We show that in the cointegrated case with fixed initial

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Detection of oriented fractal scaling components in anisotropic two-dimensional trajectories

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2020
We propose a novel class of mixed fluctuations with different orientations and fractal scaling features as a model for anisotropic two-dimensional (2D) trajectories hypothesized to appear in complex systems.

Gamma and Exponential Autoregressive Moving Average (ARMA) Processes

open access: yes, 2005
Time series data encountered in practice depict properties that deviate from those of gaussian processes. The gamma and exponentially distributed processes which are used as basic models for positive time series fall in the class of non-gaussian ...

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

Nuclear pore links Fob1‐dependent rDNA damage relocation to lifespan control

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Damaged rDNA accumulates at a specific perinuclear interface that couples nucleolar escape with nuclear envelope association. Nuclear pores at this site help inhibit Fob1‐induced rDNA instability. This spatial organization of damage handling supports a functional link between nuclear architecture, rDNA stability, and replicative lifespan in yeast.

Optimal alarm systems for count processes

open access: yes, 2008
In many phenomena described by stochastic processes, the implementation of an alarm system becomes fundamental to predict the occurrence of future events.
