Linear least squares estimation of the first order moving average parameter
We propose an iterative procedure to minimize the sum of squares function which avoids the nonlinear nature of estimating the rst order moving average parameter and provides a closed form of the estimator.

A Dynamic Analysis of Moving Average Rules [PDF]
The use of various moving average rules remains popular with financial market practitioners. These rules have recently become the focus of a number empirical studies, but there have been very few studies of financial market models where some agents ...

Despite frogs avoiding low temperatures, examination of four salamander species revealed that none avoided cold and all possessed cold tolerance. Functional analysis of TRPM8, a cold sensor, showed that all salamander TRPM8s had lost their cold sensitivity.

Known Moving-Average Transformations and Autoregressive Processes
The errors in the linear models which are used so widely by economists may be generated by mixed moving-average autoregressive processes. If errors on an aggregative equation are generated by a mixed moving-average autoregressive process and the weights ...

Bioscience students were asked for their opinions on the value and teaching of skills. 204 responded that teamwork, time management and study skills are necessary to reach University, that scientific writing, research, laboratory and presentation skills are taught effectively during their studies, while other skills are gained inherently through study ...

Complete Moment Convergence of Weighted Sums for Arrays of Rowwise φ-Mixing Random Variables
The complete moment convergence of weighted sums for arrays of rowwise φ-mixing random variables is investigated. By using moment inequality and truncation method, the sufficient conditions for complete moment convergence of weighted sums for arrays of ...

This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

Simulation based estimation of threshold moving average models with contemporaneous shock asymmetry
Persistence of shocks to macroeconomic time series may differ depending on the sign or on whether a threshold value is crossed. For example, positive shocks to gross domestic product may be more persistent than negative shocks.

Chemotherapy side effects significantly impact cancer survivors' quality of life. Using protein levels in blood samples from breast cancer patients before and after 12 weeks of taxane treatment, we detected treatment‐dependent changes in calcium signaling and aging pathways associated with cancer recurrence.
