Extending Service Beyond Active Duty: Generalizability of Rheumatoid Arthritis Research Conducted Among U.S. Veterans

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Biomedical research involving United States Veterans continues to advance healthcare beyond the Veterans Health Administration. This is particularly true in rheumatoid arthritis (RA), where Veteran‐centric research has uncovered novel insights into pathogenesis, risk factors, and disease manifestations, informing clinical care and research across both ...

Blockchain-Enabled Decentralized End Hopping for Proactive Network Defense

open access: yesTelecom
As network attack methods continue to evolve, flooding attacks remain a major threat that causes network paralysis and service disruption. Statically configured systems are particularly vulnerable, as attackers can exploit reconnaissance information to ...

Thermodynamic Pathways of Nonequilibrium Solidification in Wire‐Arc Additive Manufacturing Fe‐Based Multicomponent Alloy Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Geometry‐driven thermal behavior in wire‐arc additive manufacturing (WAAM) influences microstructural evolution during nonequilibrium solidification of a chemically complex Fe–Cr–Nb–W–Mo–C nanocomposite system. By comparing different deposits configurations, distinct entropy–cooling rate correlations, segregation, and carbide evolution are revealed ...

Efficient Strategy Selection for Moving Target Defense Under Multiple Attacks

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In a real network environment, multiple types of attacks can occur. The more important the service or network, the more attacks it may suffer simultaneously.

Motion Parameter Estimation of Doppler-Ambiguous Moving Targets in SAR-GMTI [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In an along-track interferometric SAR system, the discrete sampling of moving target signals can give rise to two types of ambiguity: Doppler ambiguity, and interferometric angle ambiguity.

Electrochemical Behavior of Flame‐Sprayed Sc‐Doped AlCoCrFeMo High‐Entropy Alloy Coatings in 3.5% Sodium Chloride Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Scandium (Sc)‐doped AlCoCrFeMo HEA coatings are fabricated via flame spraying with 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 wt% Sc additions. Among these, the HEA‐Sc0.3 coating exhibits the highest corrosion resistance, indicated by a more positive corrosion potential and lower current density.

A Large Along-Track Baseline Approach for Ground Moving Target Indication Using TanDEM-X [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In the paper a new method for ground moving target indication (GMTI) using two satellites (i.e. the TerraSAR-X and the TanDEM-X satellite) together is presented.

Superlubricity and Corrosion Inhibition Properties of Solvate Ionic Liquids in Hybrid Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plastic–Steel Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Solvate ionic liquids lubrication reduced the coefficient of friction by ∼60% compared to dry sliding, reaching steady‐state values as low as 0.04–0.05. Corrosion weight‐loss measurements in 1 M HCl further demonstrated significant inhibition behavior, with only 100 ppm of [Li(G3)][TFSI] (∼68.5 μL/L) reducing corrosion‐product weight loss by 63 ...

Acceleration Independent Along-Track Velocity Estimation of Moving Targets [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In the paper a method for along-track velocity estimation of moving targets is presented. This method exploits the along-track interferometric (ATI) phase ramp of a range compressed moving target signal between two or more receiving channels.
