Joint Random Fields for Moving Vehicle Detection

Procedings of the British Machine Vision Conference 2008, 2008
This paper proposes a joint random field (JRF) model for moving vehicle detection in video sequences. The JRF model extends the conditional random field (CRF) by introducing auxiliary latent variables to characterize the structure and evolution of visual scene. Hence detection labels (e.g. vehicle/roadway) and hidden variables (e.g.

Research on the moving vehicle detection technology

2012 2nd International Conference on Consumer Electronics, Communications and Networks (CECNet), 2012
This paper introduces the Comprehensive utilization of symmetric difference methods and background subtraction[1, 2] for moving vehicle detection. Firstly build a reliable background update model, and then combine the basically accurate foreground image got from background subtraction with difference image got from symmetric difference. Finally get the

Moving Vehicle Detection in Dynamic Traffic Contexts

2016
We address the problem of moving vehicle detection for dynamic traffic environment with moving cameras. The proposed system obtains visual data from cameras mounted on a moving host vehicle. The optical flow method is employed to estimate the movement of the camera and the relative movement of the background.

Monocular Obstacle Detection for Moving Vehicles

2012
This thesis presents a 3D reconstruction approach to the detection of static obstacles from a single rear view parking camera. Corner features are tracked to estimate the vehicle’s motion and to perform multiview triangulation in order to reconstruct the scene.

Moving Vehicle Detection Algorithm Based on Video Processing

Chinese Journal of Liquid Crystals and Displays, 2012
Vehicle detection technology is an important part of the modern intelligent transportation systems. The existing video detection algorithms can detect moving targets and have some adaptability to the environment, but the recognition rate and real-time of these algorithms are still to be improved.A novel algorithm for moving vehicle detection, which ...
