Moxilloxacin is a new fluoroquinolone antibacterial agent with a broad spectrum of activity, encompassing gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. It has improved activity against gram-positive species (including staphylococci, streptococci, enterococci) and anaerobes compared with ciprofloxacin.
