Implementing MPI: the 1994 MPI Implementors' Workshop [PDF]
In September of 1994 a workshop was held at Argonne National Laboratory on implementation issues for MPI. MPI is a standard message-passing library interface developed during 1993 and 1994 by the MPI Forum, a broadly based group of parallel computing vendors, parallel library writers, and application, scientists.

Mouse heterochromatin is characterized by A/T-rich, 234 bp DNA repeat arrays, called major satellite repeats (MSR). We investigated MSR expression in response to a variety of stress conditions by using small molecule compounds.

Deductive Verification of Parallel Programs Using Why3 [PDF]
The Message Passing Interface specification (MPI) defines a portable message-passing API used to program parallel computers. MPI programs manifest a number of challenges on what concerns correctness: sent and expected values in communications may not ...

Rapid Fabrication of Self‐Propelled and Steerable Magnetic Microcatheters for Precision Medicine
A rapid Joule heating fabrication method for the production of self‐propelling, adaptive microcatheters, with tunable stiffness and integrated microfluidic channels is presented. Demonstrated through three microrobotic designs, including a steerable guiding catheter, an untethered wave‐crawling TubeBot, and a distal‐end propelled microcatheter, it was ...

MPI-enabled Shape Optimization of Panels Subjected to Air Blast Loading [PDF]
The problem of finding the optimal shape of an aluminum plate to mitigate air blast loading is considered. The goal is to minimize the dynamic displacement of the plate relative to the test fixture, while monitoring plastic strain values, mass, and ...

IMPI: Making MPI interoperable
The Message Passing Interface (MPI) is the de facto standard for writing parallel scientific applications in the message passing programming paradigm. Implementations of MPI were not designed to interoperate, thereby limiting the environments in which parallel jobs could be run.

The selective hydrogenation of acetylene over laterally condensed Pd and Pd–Au catalysts (LCCs) was investigated using operando X‐ray absorption and photoelectron spectroscopy in combination with density functional theory. Pd‐LCCs were found to incorporate significantly more carbon into the metal lattice than Pd–Au LCCs, where the carbon uptake governs
