CHB‐Induced Immune Zonation Chaos Elicited LXRα‐mediated Lipid Metabolism Disorders in Kupffer Cells to Induce Cancer Stem Cell Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By profiling the spatiotemporal hepatic landscape of CHB mouse models, the originally peri‐portal localized KCs migrated to the peri‐central in a CXCL9‐CXCR3‐dependent manner, facilitating their interaction with HBV+ hepatocytes. The interaction promoted LMD in KCs through ASGR1‐induced LXRα degradation, which, in turn, induced CSC formation via Stat3 ...

Implementation of the parallel mean shift-based image segmentation algorithm on a GPU cluster

open access: yesInternational Journal of Digital Earth, 2019
The mean shift image segmentation algorithm is very computation-intensive. To address the need to deal with a large number of remote sensing (RS) image segmentations in real-world applications, this study has investigated the parallelization of the mean ...

Restless bandit marginal productivity indices I: singleproject case and optimal control of a make-to-stock M/G/1 queue [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
This paper develops a framework based on convex optimization and economic ideas to formulate and solve by an index policy the problem of optimal dynamic effort allocation to a generic discrete-state restless bandit (i.e. binary-action: work/rest) project,

Behavior‐ and Cell Type‐Specific Cortico‐Striatal Decoupling in a Parkinson's Disease‐Like Mouse Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Utilizing dual‐site fiber photometry, this study examines cortico‐striatal coupling with cell type resolution, identifying behavior‐ and cell type‐specific cortico striatal decoupling and its dopamine‐dependent mechanism in a Parkinson's disease mouse model.

Forced expression of MSR repeat transcripts above a threshold limit breaks heterochromatin organisation

open access: yesNature Communications
Mouse heterochromatin is characterised by transcriptionally competent major satellite repeat (MSR) sequences and it has been proposed that MSR RNA contributes to the integrity of heterochromatin.

Minimum entropy production by microswimmers with internal dissipation

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
The energy dissipation and entropy production by self-propelled microswimmers differ profoundly from passive particles pulled by external forces.

Identification and Characterization of an In Silico Designed Membrane‐Active Peptide with Antiviral Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An evolutionary molecular dynamics platform is used to design P1.6, a membrane‐active peptide that senses lipid packing defects in viral envelopes. P1.6 adopts a stabilized α‐helical structure upon membrane contact, disrupts virus‐like liposomes, and damages HIV‐1 particles.

Precise determination of αS( m Z 0 $ m_{Z^0 } $ ) from a global fit of energy-energy correlations to NNLO+NNLL predictions [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2019
We present a determination of the strong coupling constant αS( m Z 0 $ m_{Z^0 } $ ) using a global fit of theory predictions in next-to-next-next-leading-order (NNLO) combined with resummed predictions at the next-to-next-leading-log level (

HIDF: Integrating Tree‐Structured scRNA‐seq Heterogeneity for Hierarchical Deconvolution of Spatial Transcriptomics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The prevailing neglect of cellular hierarchies in current spatial transcriptomics deconvolution often obscures cellular heterogeneity and impedes the identification of fine‐grained subtypes. To address this issue, HIDF employs a cluster‐tree and dual regularization to systematically model cellular hierarchical structures.
