The MTT-S Historical Collection [MTT World]
IEEE Microwave Magazine, 2015The historical exhibit at the 2014 International Microwave Symposium (IMS2014) in Tampa, Florida, USA, marked the 35th anniversary of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) Historical Collection. The collection was started and first displayed at IMS1980 in Washington, D.C.

The deprotection of Lys(Mtt) revisited
Journal of Peptide Science, 2000The selective deprotection of Lys(Mtt)-containing peptidyl resins was successfully monitored by RP-HPLC using very short linear gradients. RP-HPLC analyses of the acidic filtrates also revealed the partial cleavage of the Trt groups and of the peptide-resin bond. The absorbance of the Mtt carbocation at 470 nm is only twice that of the Trt cation. Thus,

The MTT assay for cell viability and cell proliferation has been modified to improve its reproducibility and accuracy. The modified test is performed on MultiScreen filtration plates, which permits the removal of the culture medium prior to formazan solubilisation, without loss of cells or formazan crystals. A 1:1 mix of DMSO and ethanol is used as the

The MTT Assay to Evaluate Chemosensitivity
2005The assessment of the degree or rate of cellular proliferation and cell viability is critical to the assessment of the effects of drugs, antibodies, or cytokines on both normal and malignant cell populations. This can be accomplished by either direct or indirect counting methods.

Cell Sensitivity Assays: The MTT Assay
2003The clonogenic assay described in Chapter 2 is not suitable for all cell lines. Many adherent cell lines do not form colonies and clearly it is not applicable to non-adherent cell lines. Furthermore, it is slow and time consuming. This chapter describes an alternative cytotoxicity assay that has a number of advantages when compared with a clonogenic ...
