A DNA G‐Quadruplex‐Targeting Ligand Suppresses c‐MYC Expression: Implications for Gemcitabine‑Resistant Pancreatic Cancer

PQB‐4, a fluorescent small‐molecule ligand that targets c‐MYC DNA G‐quadruplexes (G4s), showed marked synergy with gemcitabine in resistant PANC‐1 cells (CI = 0.027). Baihe Zhimu Decoction ameliorates anxious depression via PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway‐mediated neuroprotection and inhibition of hippocampal neuronal apoptosis

Baihe Zhimu Decoction alleviates anxious depression‐like behaviors and protects hippocampal neurons. Chemical profiling and network pharmacology reveal multiple active components acting via the PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway, enhancing neuronal survival and function, as confirmed by multi‐level in vitro and in vivo validation.

Rational Design of a Synthetic Galliphore for the Diagnostic Nuclear Imaging and Treatment of Bacterial Infections

KO‐NH2 is a synthetic metallophore that preferentially binds Ga3+ over Fe3+ and is recognized by bacterial transporters. Photocrosslinking identifies CirA and Fiu as key uptake proteins in E. coli. KO‐NH2 enables targeted imaging and treatment of E. coli soft tissue infections.

Created Ex Nihilo: A Near‐Infrared Afterglow Luminescent Framework of Imidazole Derivatives for Bioimaging

A series of Ir(III) complexes (Ir‐1‐Ir‐4) based on imidazole derivatives provide a new afterglow luminescence mechanism. The work expands the range of afterglow luminescence frameworks to overcome: (i) a lack of new afterglow scaffolds; (ii) the dependence on initial external light activation; and (iii) aggregation‐caused quenching.
