A Novel Pak1 Activator Ameliorates ER Stress for HFpEF Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Chronic metabolic stress is a major contributor to HFpEF progression. Under prolonged metabolic stress, Pak1 activity becomes impaired, contributing to disrupted ER proteostasis, cardiomyocyte apoptosis, fibrosis, and diastolic dysfunction. Mechanistically, Pak1 overexpression activates the ERK1/2–MNK1–eIF4E signaling axis, promotes translational ...

Lanthanum Carbonate Nanosheets Based Colloidal Hydrogel for Modulating Innate & Adaptive Tumor Immunotherapy by Augmented Cellular Pyroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The Gela/decitabine/La2(CO3)3 colloidal (GDLC) hydrogel developed here could reverse the epigenetic silencing of the GSDME gene by the synergistic interaction between DAC and La3+, while concurrently activating caspase‐3, thus facilitating pyroptosis induction under the tumor microenvironment.

Magneto‐NIR‐II‐Programmed Cascade Nanozymes Unlocking Blood–Brain Barrier Translocation and Autophagic Resistance in Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Magneto‐NIR‐II‐programmed NFSH nanozymes integrate magnetic blood–brain barrier (BBB) translocation, CD44 targeting, multimodal imaging, and cascade catalytic therapy for glioblastoma. Alternating magnetic fields and NIR‐II irradiation amplify ferroptosis, release H2S, suppress autophagic and mitophagic repair, and reshape the immune microenvironment ...

Investigating the Anticancer Potential of Chitosan Nanoparticles: In Vitro Assessment on TP-53 and PC-3 Cell Lines

open access: yesMedical Journal of Babylon
Background: The increased threat of cancer is a critical challenge due to the absence of absolute treatment that eradicates this disease. Chitosan nanoparticles (CS NPs) offer promising opportunities for the development of anticancer medicines ...

circZNF148 Drives Glucose Metabolism Reprogramming to Enhance Metastasis and Immune Evasion via HK1 Stabilization in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CircZNF148 stabilizes HK1 through deubiquitinase recruitment, thereby enhancing glycolysis and lactate production. Elevated lactate promotes PD‑L1 lactylation and membrane accumulation while suppressing CD8+ T‐cell cytotoxicity, collectively facilitating immune evasion and malignant progression in TNBC.
