Calcification in a gastric mucinous adenocarcinoma

The American Journal of Digestive Diseases, 1973
A case of a mucus-secreting carcinoma of the stomach with calcification has been presented. Calcification in gastric carcinoma is rare, with only 13 previously reported cases found in the English literature. The fine, sand-like calcification found in gastric carcinomas appears to be characteristic of a mucus-secreting tumor.

Mucinous Adenocarcinoma in the Abomasum of a Cow

Veterinary Pathology, 1996
A cow with mucinous adenocarcinoma of the abomasum presented to the teaching hospital with a markedly distended abdomen from which 80 liters of fluid was drained during trocharization. Calcifying Mucinous Adenocarcinoma of the Stomach

The radiographic demonstration of calcification in gastric carcinoma is rare. Only 10 such cases have been described in the English literature, all mucin-producing adenocarcinomas (1–10). Our demonstration of gross calcification in 2 different gastric carcinomas in the past year prompted this report.

Mucinous adenocarcinoma of the sublingual gland

Journal of Oral Pathology & Medicine, 1997
A case of mucinous (colloid) adenocarcinoma of the sublingual gland is reported. Adenocarcinomas associated with large pools of extracellular mucin are extremely rare in the major salivary glands. Analysis of the tumor for cytokeratin expression, estrogen and progesterone receptors was performed. Predominantly, the tumor expressed cytokeratins 7, 8, 18

Primary Mucinous Adenocarcinoma of the Eyelid

Ophthalmic Surgery, Lasers and Imaging Retina, 1989
ABSTRACT Primary mucinous adenocarcinoma of the eyelid is a very rare tumor arising from the eccrine sweat gland. It is locally invasive with a high rate of recurrence following removal. Although uncommon, metastasis to regional lymph nodes does occur, and there have been several reports of more distant metastasis.
