Combined Stokes Vector and Mueller Matrix Polarimetry for Materials Characterization
Analytical Chemistry, 2013A robust way of measuring the optical properties of any material is to interrogate it with light of different polarizations. The 16-element Mueller matrix provides the most complete description of the optical properties of a sample based on its ability to alter the polarization state of transmitted or reflected light.

Mueller matrix polarimetry with four photoelastic modulators: theory and calibration
Applied Optics, 2012A spectroscopic Mueller matrix polarimeter with four photoelastic modulators (PEMs) and no moving parts is introduced. In the 4-PEM polarimeter, all the elements of the Mueller matrix are simultaneously determined from the analysis of the frequencies of the time-dependent intensity of the light beam.

Sensitivity analysis for nanostructure metrology by Mueller matrix polarimetry
Advances in Optoelectronics and Micro/nano-optics, 2010This paper presents the modeling and simulation of Mueller matrix polarimetry for nanostructure metrology, with an emphasis on the sensitivity analysis. Taking a two-dimensional grating as an example, the modeling method using the rigorous coupled-wave analysis theory has been described.
