Role of MukBEF in Escherichia coli chromosome organization
In E. coli cells, spatial chromosome organization reflects the genetic map, with the origin located at mid-cell and left and right replichores in either cell half. In contrast to the eukaryotic cell cycle, chromosome segregation occurs progressively as replication proceeds.

Characterization of Streptomyces coelicolor ParH in development-associated chromosome segregation [PDF]
S. coelicolor uses an active chromosome partitioning system for developmentally-regulated genome segregation, which is associated with spore formation.

Analyzing DNA Topology and Transcription in Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium During Dichotomous Growth [PDF]
The bacterial chromosome is dynamic. The principle goal of my research is to understand how DNA topology is altered by transcription in Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium LT2.

Direct Imaging of the circular chromosome of a live bacterium [PDF]
Although the physical properties of chromosomes, including their morphology, mechanics, and dynamics are crucial for their biological function, many basic questions remain unresolved. Here we directly image the circular chromosome in live E.
