Genetic algorithm optimization for AGC of multi-area power systems
2002 IEEE Region 10 Conference on Computers, Communications, Control and Power Engineering. TENCOM '02. Proceedings., 2003A genetic algorithm (GA) for parameter optimization of PID sliding mode load frequency control used in automatic generating control (AGC) of multiarea power systems with nonlinear elements has been proposed. The method has the advantages of both PID and sliding mode control.

Total Transfer Capability Computation for Multi-Area Power Systems
IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, 2006This paper presents a method for multi-area power system total transfer capability (TTC) computation. This computation takes into account the limits on the line flows, bus voltage magnitude, generator reactive power, voltage stability, as well as the loss of line contingencies.
