A Proxy Approach to Multi-Attribute Decision Making
Management Science, 1978This paper combines two rival preference modeling techniques in a new approach to multi-attribute decision making. Currently existing multi-attribute procedures use either global or local preference modeling. In the global modeling technique, a single preference function is constructed in the large; its maximum is the optimal alternative. In the local

Research on Hybrid Multi-Attribute Decision-Making
2016 International Conference on Cyber-Enabled Distributed Computing and Knowledge Discovery (CyberC), 2016Multiple attribute decision-making method based ongrey incidence for hybrid multiple attribute decision-making problems with real number, interval number, triangular fuzzy number, intuitionistic fuzzy number and uncertain linguistic variables is proposed.

Varying Weights in Multi-Attribute Decision Making
Volume 4: 20th International Conference on Design Theory and Methodology; Second International Conference on Micro- and Nanosystems, 2008Extreme cases that contain either extremely high or pretty low preference attribute(s) are investigated for multi-attribute decision making problems. Normal cases occur most of the time, and many existing methods have been developed to support the decision making in such scenarios.

Modeling Strategy Switches in Multi-attribute Decision Making
Computational Brain & Behavior, 2020We develop and demonstrate a method for inferring changes in strategy use, applicable to decision making in multi-attribute choice. The method is an extension of one developed by Lee, Gluck, and Walsh (Decision 6:335–368, 2019) and continues to rely on a Bayesian approach for inferring strategy switches based on spike-and-slab priors.

Fuzzy Random Multi-attribute Decision Making Method
2008 Fifth International Conference on Fuzzy Systems and Knowledge Discovery, 2008Fuzziness and randomness are two key aspects of uncertainty. During decision making process, it is a normal situation that fuzzy and random variables appear simultaneously. Fuzzy random multi-attribute decision making (FRMADM) is to select the best alternative or rank alternatives among limited feasible alternatives, under fuzzy and random conditions ...

Multi-attribute Decision-Making: A View of the World of Decision-Making
2021Water resources planning and management is marked by competing interests and different values of multiple stakeholders. Thus, when it comes to making any decision with regard to water resources, different - and often conflicting - interests have to be taken into consideration.

Introduction to Multi-attribute Military Decision-Making
2019The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) only has a limited number of assets and a finite amount of time to conduct investigations, thus DHS must establish priorities for its investigations. The risk assessment office has collected the data for the morning meeting shown in Table 5.1.

On multi-period multi-attribute decision making
Knowledge-Based Systems, 2008Multiple attribute decision making (MADM) is an important part of modern decision science. It has been extensively applied to various areas such as society, economics, military, management, etc., and has been receiving more and more attention over the last decades.

Probability numbers for multi-attribute decision-making
Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy SystemsIn the face of increasingly complex data forms and decision-making problems, the uncertainty of information poses a major challenge to multi-attribute decision-making methods. How to effectively organize information and serve realistic decision-making problems has attracted extensive attention in the academic circles.

APPROACHES TO MULTI-STAGE MULTI-ATTRIBUTE GROUP DECISION MAKING [PDF]
Multi-stage multi-attribute group decision making (MS-MAGDM) as a familiar decision activity that usually occurs in our daily life, such as multi-stage investment decision making, medical diagnosis, personnel dynamic examination, military system efficiency dynamic evaluation, etc. The aim of this paper is to investigate MS-MAGDM problems in which both
