Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

A multi attribute decision making method for selection of optimal assembly line [PDF]

open access: yesManagement Science Letters, 2011
With globalization, sweeping technological development, and increasing competition, customers are placing greater demands on manufacturers to increase quality, flexibility, on time delivery of product and less cost.

On optimal completions of incomplete pairwise comparison matrices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
An important variant of a key problem for multi-attribute decision making is considered. We study the extension of the pairwise comparison matrix to the case when only partial information is available: for some pairs no comparison is given. It is natural

Predictors of response and rational combinations for the novel MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665 in acute myeloid leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...

Multi-criteria decision making with linguistic labels: a comparison of two methodologies applied to energy planning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
This paper compares two multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) approaches based on linguistic label assessment. The first approach consists of a modified fuzzy TOPSIS methodology introduced by Kaya and Kahraman in 2011. The second approach, introduced by

Methylation biomarkers can distinguish pleural mesothelioma from healthy pleura and other pleural pathologies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

The Probabilistic Dual Hesitant Fuzzy Multi-Attribute Decision-Making Method Based on Cumulative Prospect Theory and Its Application

open access: yesAxioms, 2023
Addressing the complex issue of multi-attribute decision-making within a probabilistic dual hesitant fuzzy context, where attribute weights are unknown, a novel decision-making method based on cumulative prospect theory is proposed, named the ...

Solving the Least Squares Method problem in the AHP for 3 X 3 and 4 X 4 matrices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is one of the most popular methods used in Multi-Attribute Decision Making. The Eigenvector Method (EM) and some distance minimizing methods such as the Least Squares Method (LSM) are of the possible tools for ...

On pairwise comparison matrices that can be made consistent by the modification of a few elements [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Pairwise comparison matrices are often used in Multi-attribute Decision Making forweighting the attributes or for the evaluation of the alternatives with respect to a criteria.

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.
