Band-specific phase engineering for curving and focusing light in waveguide arrays [PDF]
Band specific design of curved light caustics and focusing in optical waveguide arrays is introduced. Going beyond the discrete, tight-binding model, which we examined recently, we show how the exact band structure and the associated diffraction ...

Neural Network Detection for Bandwidth-Limited Non-Orthogonal Multiband CAP UVLC System
In this paper, we propose a novel sparse data-to-symbol neural network (SDSNN) receiver for bandwidth-limited underwater visible light communication (UVLC) based on non-orthogonal multi-band carrierless amplitude and phase modulation (NM-CAP).

Experimental Demonstration of Staggered CAP Modulation for Low Bandwidth Red-Emitting Polymer-LED based Visible Light Communications [PDF]
In this paper we experimentally demonstrate, for the first time, staggered carrier-less amplitude and phase (sCAP) modulation for visible light communication systems based on polymer light-emitting diodes emitting at ~639 nm. The key advantage offered by

Retrieval of Ocean Surface Wind Speed Using Reflected BPSK/BOC Signals
The Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) has become a valuable resource as a remote sensing technique. In the past decade, the use of reflected GNSS signals for sensing the Earth, also known as GNSS reflectometry (GNSS-R), has grown rapidly.

Reconfigurable resonant module for multi‐band antenna design
Novel resonant modules for constructing multi‐band mobile antennas are proposed in this study. The basic configuration of the module, named as the prototype module, is designed based on a series LC resonant circuit. By adding a varactor to the module, it can be transformed into a reconfigurable module.
