Initial Results of a Multi-Constellation ARAIM Airborne Prototype
The International Technical Meeting of the The Institute of Navigation, 2017Advanced Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring extends RAIM to multiple constellations and dual frequency, with the goal of providing worldwide coverage of vertical guidance for aircraft. Availability simulations have shown that ARAIM based on GPS L1-L5 and Galileo E1-E1a could provide global coverage of vertical guidance.

RAIM and AUKF for GNSS Performance Enhancement in Multi-Constellation
The International Technical Meeting of the The Institute of Navigation, 2017With the extensive application and popularization of GPS/BDS/Galileo/GLONASS, about 40 satellites will be tracked at the positioning epoch for GNSS receivers. Thus, satellite selection plays a crucial role in decreasing pressure for receivers with limited data processing capability and enhancing positioning performance by optimal satellite geometric ...

Multi-Constellation-Inspired Single-Shot Global LiDAR Localization
Proceedings of the AAAI Conference on Artificial IntelligenceGlobal localization is a challenging task for intelligent robots, as its accuracy directly contributes to the performance of downstream navigation and planning tasks. However, existing literature focus more on the place retrieval and the success rate of localization, with limited attention given to the metrics of position estimation.

GBAS Interoperability and Multi-constellation/Multi-frequency Trials
2019This paper summarizes GBAS tests conducted by the Technische Universitat Braunschweig (TUBS), the Electronic Navigation Research Institute (ENRI) and European Organisation for the Safety of Air Navigation (EUROCONTROL) in the frame of the Single European Sky ATM Research Programme (SESAR, subproject 15.3.7). For these tests, an experimental GBAS ground

Multi-constellation GNSS observations of equatorial ionospheric scintillation
2014 XXXIth URSI General Assembly and Scientific Symposium (URSI GASS), 2014During the past two decades, GPS receivers have gained tremendous popularity as passive sensing instruments for ionospheric scintillation monitoring due to their low cost and GPS signals' distributed global coverage. The emergence of Russian's GLONASS, China's Beidou, and the European Union's Galileo satellites has nearly doubled the number of ...

An Efficient Genetic Algorithm of Multi-Constellation Satellite Selection
2018 IEEE 4th International Conference on Computer and Communications (ICCC), 2018Tracking enough visible GNSS satellites is becoming more and more significant, because of the growing demand of higher positioning precision. More and more satellites are launched, which is beneficial to positioning and causing huger tracking burden in the meantime.

Satellite Selection Method for Multi-Constellation GNSS Using Convex Geometry
IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2010This paper proposes a methodology in the context of convex geometry theory aiming to reduce the number of satellites among all visible satellites used for the position computation by a navigation receiver. This reduction is based on the approximate equivalence between geometric dilution of precision minimization and maximization of the size of the ...

GRAMMAR: Challenges and solutions for multi-constellation Mass Market user Receivers
2010 Ubiquitous Positioning Indoor Navigation and Location Based Service, 2010In this paper we describe the prototype concept of multi-constellation GNSS receivers investigated in the Galileo Ready Advanced Mass Marker Receiver (GRAMMAR) EU FP7 project [1]. The purpose of our work is to provide technology solutions with their implementations for multi-system GNSS mass market receivers by motivating the need for both hardware and
