MULTI CRITERIA ANALYSIS SUPPORTING EFFECTIVE LANDSLIDE MODELING
Numerical modeling may be an effective tool to predict the behavior of instable slopes provided that it relies on appropriate slope physical model. This is particular true for large-scale landslides, that generally feature intrinsic high spatial variability.

Multi-criteria Anomaly Detection using Pareto Depth Analysis [PDF]
We consider the problem of identifying patterns in a data set that exhibit anomalous behavior, often referred to as anomaly detection. In most anomaly detection algorithms, the dissimilarity between data samples is calculated by a single criterion, such ...

ABSTRACT Introduction Adult‐onset Still's disease (AOSD) complicated by macrophage activation syndrome (MAS) carries substantial mortality. The role of therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) remains uncertain. Methods We retrospectively analyzed patients with AOSD‐MAS treated with TPE at a single‐center.

Assessment of Railway Station Modernisation Combining Risk Analysis with Multi-Criteria Analysis
When modernising train stations, several options are usually available for the layout of the tracks and its parameters. The best option is chosen by assessing different criteria; it is not an exact procedure, but a compromise between often different ...

INTEGRATING NETWORK CONCEPT INTO MULTI CRITERIA ANALYSIS FOR SUGGESTING BUS RAPID TRANSIT ROUTES [PDF]
Population explosion in the city of Johor Bahru has led to traffic congestions, which hitherto to that there were better movements and flow of vehicles in and around the city. Road transportation in particular has played a gargantuan role in creating and

Priority Events Determination For The Risk-oriented Management Of Electric Power System [PDF]
The task of risk-oriented management of the electric power system in conditions of multi-criteria choice is considered. To determine the most effective measures, the implementation of which will reduce the magnitude of the risk of an emergency situation,

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.
