GDOP minimum in multi-GNSS positioning

Advances in Space Research, 2017
Abstract In positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) applications with the Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), the geometric dilution of precision (GDOP) offers an important index for selecting satellites from all tracked satellites for positioning calculation.

Evaluating PDOP in Multi-GNSS Environment

IETE Journal of Research, 2019
Hybrid operation with two or more Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) together with (Multi-GNSS) is now popular in the enhanced Signal-in-Space (SiS) scenario that is expected to provide sev...

Broadcast versus precise ephemerides: a multi-GNSS perspective

GPS Solutions, 2014
A consistent analysis of signal-in-space ranging errors (SISREs) is presented for all current satellite navigation systems, considering both global average values and worst-user-location statistics. The analysis is based on 1 year of broadcast ephemeris messages of the Global Positioning System (GPS), GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou and QZSS collected with a ...

Satellite Selection in Multi-GNSS Positioning

ION GNSS+, The International Technical Meeting of the Satellite Division of The Institute of Navigation, 2016
Satellites selection can be performed based on constellation geometry, ranging-signal quality, or both. For applications where multipath and blockage are not major problems, Signal-in-Space (SIS) user range error varies less significantly, which is the case for many applications most of the time.

Multi GNSS Advanced RAIM: An availability analysis

2014 IEEE Metrology for Aerospace (MetroAeroSpace), 2014
This paper presents multi GNSS Advanced Receiver Autonomous Integrity Monitoring (ARAIM) availability for vertical guidance of aircraft down to LPV-200. Our analysis is based on two data sets: real and simulated data. For analysis based on simulated data, we use MATLAB Algorithm Availability Simulation Tool (MAAST) for availability analysis.

Multi-GNSS time transfer with CGGTTS-V2E

2018 European Frequency and Time Forum (EFTF), 2018
A software tool was developed at the Royal Observatory of Belgium for building the CGGTTS products from the RINEX observation and navigation files provided by the GNSS receivers. This software has been completely re-built in order to increase the robustness, the computation speed, and to include GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo.

Cross-calibrations of multi-GNSS Receiver Chains

2019 Joint Conference of the IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium and European Frequency and Time Forum (EFTF/IFC), 2019
GNSS receiver chain calibration is a pre-requisite for accurate GNSS time transfer and GNSS time dissemination, which becomes particularly relevant in a competitive multi-GNSS environment. Measurement of GNSS chains based on an absolute calibration approach have been proposed but are not yet operational due to the limited number of results and the ...

Integrated Multi-GNSS Receivers

The challenges of multi-band, multi-system (i.e., multi-) GNSS reception are higher bandwidths, higher sampling rates, and often multiple reception chains. All of these lead to an increase in complexity, size, and power consumption, especially for integrated radio frequency (RF) front-ends.

Simulation of Multi-GNSS Observations

Cosmic Research
In this paper, expressions for high-precision simulation of multi-GNSS observations received in low Earth orbit are given. Based on this observation model, the real spacecraft orbit was refined. Based on real data from the GRACE space project, the results were compared with simulated measurements from foreign software.

Precise Real-Time Multi-GNSS PPP

2015
Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technology has undergone enormous developments over the last three decades. The majority of PNT (Positioning, Navigation and Timing) applications are now based on GNSS. This increasing dependence on GNSS technology is acknowledged by several nations, some of which are even developing their own regional or ...
