Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

YOLO-AMM: A Real-Time Classroom Behavior Detection Algorithm Based on Multi-Dimensional Feature Optimization

open access: yesSensors
Classroom behavior detection is a key task in constructing intelligent educational environments. However, the existing models are still deficient in detail feature capture capability, multi-layer feature correlation, and multi-scale target adaptability ...

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

A Multi‐Scale Time Adaptive Fusion Network for Transformer Fault Diagnosis

open access: yesEngineering Reports
Transformer fault diagnosis is crucial for the safe operation of power systems, enabling quick and accurate fault type identification. However, traditional methods struggle with extracting multi‐scale temporal features and high‐order feature ...

Pixel Level Image Fusion using Fuzzylet Fusion Algorithm [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Image fusion algorithms based on SWT (Stationary Wavelet Transform) and fuzzy logic were developed and demonstrated. It was observed that fusion using SWT with higher levels of decomposition provides better fusion results. Similarly, Fuzzy image fusion

USP29‐regulated noncanonical stabilization of the hypoxia‐inducible factor‐α in aggressive prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We identify USP29 as the only DUB mirroring CA9 expression, a marker of hypoxia and HIF pathway activation associated with PCA aggressiveness. USP29 stabilizes HIF‐1α and HIF‐2α via a noncanonical mechanism that is independent of PHD/pVHL activity yet relies on proteasomal regulation, establishing USP29 as a previously unrecognized regulator of hypoxic

AAMS-YOLO: enhanced farmland parcel detection for high-resolution remote sensing images

open access: yesInternational Journal of Digital Earth
Detecting farmland parcels in high-resolution remote sensing images is challenging in smallholder farming systems in China, characterized by fragmented plots, irregular shapes, and varying scales.
