A Multibeam Cassegrain Antenna
1975 5th European Microwave Conference, 1975This paper deals with generation of a multibeam pattern for three-dimensional radar surveillance by a stacked feed horn system installed in a Cassegrain antenna. Although its effective f/D-ratio is relatively high compared with the corresponding one of the primarily feed paraboloid, lateral displacement of feed horns in the focal plane results in ...

Proceedings of International Conference on Antenna Theory and Techniques, 1995
The effect of the transformation of a non-homogeneous plane wave into a space one is gaining a wider application in antenna techniques. A planar dielectric waveguide is used as a source of non-homogeneous plane wave. The transformation of a slow surface-wave mode into a space wave is realized by using a diffraction grating.

1969 International Electron Devices Meeting, 1969
CRT devices, both for photorecording and real time display applications, can be improved in certain of their characteristics by utilizing a number of electron beams simultaneously modulated in the tube. A plurality of beams, when properly generated, focused and deflected, will display information with writing speed, video band-width and brightness ...

Electrostatically Focused Multibeam Klystron
2006 IEEE International Vacuum Electronics Conference held Jointly with 2006 IEEE International Vacuum Electron Sources, 2006We report on our work to build and test an electrostatically focused 7-beam klystron oscillator with output power of 2 KW at frequency 5.8 GHz. This tube was developed to drive the plasma production of a gridded ion thruster. The microwave thruster was being developed because of the long life offered by microwave electron cyclotron resonance plasma ...

4D optical multibeam manipulation
SPIE Proceedings, 2005The Generalized Phase Contrast (GPC) method enables virtually loss free conversion of spatial phase patterns to highly efficient light intensity distributions. The GPC-method has been used in a number of applications requiring parallel light-beam encoding such as in advanced user-controlled optical micro-manipulation, wavefront sensing and generation ...
