Multibeam by Metasurface Antennas
We explore various possibilities for designing multibeam antennas using a single metasurface (MTS) aperture. Both single-source and multisource feeding schemes are considered. For the single-source case, two approaches are investigated. In the first one, the MTS aperture is divided into several angular sectors, each one devoted to the formation of a ...

The Methanol Multibeam Survey [PDF]
A purpose built 7-beam methanol receiver, installed on the Parkes Radio Telescope, was used to survey the Galactic plane for newly forming high mass stars, pinpointed by strong methanol maser emission at 6.7 GHz. The Methanol Multibeam (MMB) survey observed over 60% of the Galactic plane, detecting close to 1000 sources.

Multibeam bathymetry data of the western part of the Romanche Trench (Equatorial Atlantic)
We present the multibeam bathymetry data of the western part of the Romanche Trench (Equatorial Atlantic) which is the main natural corridor that regulates inflow of Antarctic Bottom Water into the eastern basin of the Atlantic Ocean.

Seabed sediments (grain size) of Nordland VI, offshore north Norway
This paper presents a seabed sediments (grain size) map of the Nordland VI area (25,000 km2) off the Lofoten islands, north Norway. The map is based on multibeam echosounder data (bathymetry and backscatter), visual analysis of 215 video transects (each ...

Hybrid Machine Learning and CUBE Method for Multibeam Data Cleaning [PDF]
Multibeam data contains different types of errors that are classified as systematic errors, random errors and gross errors (outliers). Accurate bathymetric base surface production requires efficient cleaning methods to detect and reject the outliers. The

Adaptive beamforming for large arrays in satellite communications systems with dispersed coverage [PDF]
Conventional multibeam satellite communications systems ensure coverage of wide areas through multiple fixed beams where all users inside a beam share the same bandwidth. We consider a new and more flexible system where each user is assigned his own beam,

Challenges in the Multibeam Antennas
In this project, we are trying to shed light on various aspects of the antenna arrays. Special focus is on solving the problems related to multibeam antennas. One traditional application of the multibeam antennas is sum and difference patterns.
