Modular Simulation in Multibody System Dynamics
Multibody System Dynamics, 2000The authors present a block representation of the dynamics of multibody systems. The procedure is motivated by similar procedures employed in system dynamics and control theory. It is found, however, that with the presence of algebraic loops, there may be instabilities in integration. A method for overcoming this problem is also presented.

Modeling and validation of a novel tracked robot via multibody dynamics
Robotica (Cambridge. Print), 2023This article focuses on a multibody model of a new passive articulated suspension tracked robot. The model of the vehicle is developed using the multibody software MSC Adams (acronym for automatic dynamic analysis of mechanical systems) in conjunction ...

HolorGraphic multibody systems dynamics
1997 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics. Computational Cybernetics and Simulation, 2002In physical systems theory, graph-based modelling has become the basis of a wide range of formulation and analysis problems involving physical balance equations eg, power, energy, force, etc. The realization of a mathematical set of constraints from the topological structure of a physical system is often based on an implicit symbolic procedure which ...

Numerical Methods in Multibody System Dynamics
2016This chapter includes the main numerical methods commonly utilized in multibody systems, namely those necessary to solve the dynamic equations of motion for constrained multibody systems. In this process, the fundamental aspects associated with the use of direct integration method together with the use of Baumgarte stabilization technique are described.

Inverse Dynamics of Constrained Multibody Systems
Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1990A method for analyzing constrained multibody systems is presented. The method is applicable to a class of problems in which the multibody system is subjected to both force and kinematic constraints. This class of problems cannot be solved by using the classical methods.
