On Multipath Fading Channels at High SNR [PDF]

open access: yes2008 IEEE International Symposium on Information Theory, 2008
This paper studies the capacity of discrete-time multipath fading channels. It is assumed that the number of paths is finite, i.e., that the channel output is influenced by the present and by the L previous channel inputs.

Introduction to Mediumband Wireless Communication

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Communications Society, 2023
The multipath is unavoidable in radio frequency (RF) wireless communication, and affects almost every element of the communication systems. The impact of multipath on the received signal depends on whether the delay spread (i.e., spread of time delays ...

Multipath channels of unbounded capacity [PDF]

open access: yes2008 IEEE 25th Convention of Electrical and Electronics Engineers in Israel, 2008
The capacity of discrete-time, non-coherent, multipath fading channels is considered. It is shown that if the delay spread is large in the sense that the variances of the path gains do not decay faster than geometrically, then capacity is bounded in the signal-to-noise ratio.

Noise stability of diversity system for signals PSK and DPSK in multipath channels [PDF]

open access: yesОмский научный вестник, 2018
We consider noise stability of diversity system for signals PSK and DPSK in multipath channels with additive Gaussian noise. The analysis of noise stability is based in fluctuation of signal distance through multipath.

Design of Orthogonal Variable Spreading Factor (OVSF) Performance Simulation Program in Multipath Fading Channels

open access: yesJournal of Electrical, Electronics and Informatics, 2020
The characteristics of wireless channel are determined by multipath propagation. The transmitted signal will be scattered so that it produces fading. Fading influenced by multipath component will cause delay spread which damages the signal.

Blind despreading and deconvolution of asynchronous multiuser direct sequence spread spectrum signals under multipath channels

open access: yesIET Signal Processing, 2023
In non‐cooperative scenarios, the spreading sequences or waveforms of the direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) signals is unknown to the receiver.

Factor-Graph-Based Soft Self-Iterative Equalizer for Multipath Channels

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2005
We consider factor-graph-based soft self-iterative equalization in wireless multipath channels. Since factor graphs are able to characterize multipath channels to per-path level, the corresponding soft self-iterative equalizer possesses reduced ...

Dense multipath component polarization and wall attenuation at 1.35 GHz in an office environment [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
This paper presents an analysis of dense multipath components in office meeting rooms. Radio channel sounding measurements at 1.35 GHz were performed with transmitter and receiver in the same room (intra-room) and in adjacent rooms (inter-room). Specular

Carrier Frequency Offset Estimation Bound for OFDM-Based Single Relay Networks With Multipath Receptions

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, the carrier frequency offset (CFO) estimation bound is presented to assess the CFO estimation performance of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)-based single relay network over multipath channels, for which an amplify-and ...
