UHF multipath and propagation

IEEE Global Telecommunications Conference and Exhibition. Communications for the Information Age, 2003
Wideband multipath measurements at 1300 MHz have been made in five factories in Indiana. The RMS delay spread ( sigma ) values were found to range between 30 ns and 300 ns. Median sigma values were 96 ns for line-of-sight (LOS) paths along aisleways and 105 ns for obstructed paths across aisles.

Propagation Characteristics of Dense Multipath Components

IEEE Antennas and Wireless Propagation Letters, 2010
The dense multipath components (DMC) represent the part of the radio channel that cannot be characterized by a superposition of distinct plane waves, i.e., the specular components (SC). In this letter, the propagation characteristics of the DMC are analyzed in indoor environments from two perspectives. First, the proportion of DMC in the total power is

Strange attractors in multipath propagation

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1991
The estimation of the correlation dimension of multipath propagation signals in an indoor environment, indicates the presence of a strange attractor of dimension between four and five, suggesting deterministic chaos. The authors stress that although the profiles they examined show saturation in all three experimental configurations, indicating that ...

Polarization sensitive multipath propagation modeling

2013 IX Internatioal Conference on Antenna Theory and Techniques, 2013
The polarization structure research of the receiving antenna excited by arbitrary field is carried out. The necessary ratios, characterizing the optimal polarization antenna's structure are determined by the criteria of maximal and minimal received signal's power. An advantage of received power is estimated for an optimal polarization.
