Optimal generalized overmodulation for multiphase PMSM drives
2017 IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC), 2017Multiphase systems have the capability to achieve significantly higher drive voltages than what is possible with sinusoidal PWM or linear modulation/nth harmonic injection. However, overmodulation beyond that of the zero sequence yields large harmonic currents if not implemented properly.
