Research on Harmonics of Multiphase Induction Motors

Though a lot of advantages over the conventional three-phase drives, systems composed by multiphase motor and voltage source inverter (VSI) have a drawback of great harmonic currents in stator windings. In the paper, a novel filtering method is proposed. Construction of the filter is resembled that of the stator of a multi-phase induction motor.
