Scintigraphic Portrayal of the Syndrome of Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia Type-2B

Clinical Nuclear Medicine, 1988
The scintigraphic appearance of the neoplasms in multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2B (MEN-2B) and the interpretations of the image patterns are described. An 18-year-old male patient with the MEN-2B syndrome underwent TI-201 imaging that showed concentrations of TI-201 in the primary medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) tumor and in cervical lymph node ...

Multiple endocrine neoplasia, type 2b.

Pathobiology annual, 1979
Multiple endocrine neoplasia, type 2b, is a disorder of unknown etiology with major involvement of the thyroid and adrenal glands, the autonomic nervous system, and connective tissue. Alimentary Tract Manifestations of Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia, Type 2b

We describe a 43-year-old Japanese man with medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), pheochromocytoma, mucosal neuroma and a Marfanoid body habitus. The collateral adrenal tumors and MTC were removed surgically. However, 14

Prostatic neuroendocrine tumor in multiple endocrine neoplasia Type 2B

Journal of Endocrinological Investigation, 2004
We report the unusual occurrence of a neuroendocrine prostatic tumor in two young males with multiple endocrine neoplasia (MEN) 2B. Immunohistochemistry of the tumor markers may help differentiate a primary neuroendocrine prostate tumor from the metastasis of a medullary thyroid carcinoma of poor prognosis. MEN 2B hallmarks (i.e. plasma thyrocalcitonin

[Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2a and 2b].

Ugeskrift for laeger, 1996
Multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2a and 2b (MEN 2a and 2b) are rare diseases, inherited as autosomal dominant traits. The neoplasias in MEN 2a are medullary thyroid carcinoma, pheochromocytoma and hyperparathyroidism. In MEN 2b a characteristic phenotype is seen in combination with medullary thyroid carcinoma and pheochromocytoma.
