Signal Processing Methods to Improve Ocean Surface Wave Estimation from a High Frequency Surface Wave Radar [PDF]
High frequency surface wave radars are operated as a remote sensor to measure ocean surface parameters to ranges exceeding 200-300 km from the coastline.

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Extrema Based Signal Transforms For Biomedical Signal Analysis
Signal transforms are very important tools to extract useful information from scientific, engineering, or medical raw data. Unfortunately, traditional transform techniques impose unrealistic assumptions on the signal, often producing erroneous ...

This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Rapid screening of staphylokinase protein variants using an unpurified cell‐free expression system
An unpurified cell‐free protein synthesis (CFPS) platform enables rapid functional screening of staphylokinase variants. Direct plasminogen‐activation assays performed in microplate format provide real‐time activity readouts, allowing rapid identification and ranking of variants with improved or reduced fibrinolytic activity without protein ...

Analysis of multiple axisymmetric annular cracks
The solution of axisymmetric Volterra climb and glide dislocations in an infinite domain is obtained by means of the Hankel transforms. The distributed dislocation technique is used to construct integral equations for a system of coaxial annular cracks ...

Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Application of Wald Function to OR and AND Fuzzy Operations in No- Data Problems
Subjective qualifiers of Wald's theory of decision functions are the fuzzy events of the subsequent fuzzy set theory. Wald's notion of subjective qualifiers involves applying integral transforms to convert states of nature into fuzzy events ...

A composition of n into s parts is a partition in which the order of the parts is taken into account. For example, the compositions of 4 into two parts are (3, 1), (1, 3), (2, 2). In the above example there is only one composition of 4 into two parts with no part exceeding 2, namely (2, 2).

This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.
