The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Equivariant Variance Estimation for Multiple Change-point Model
The variance of noise plays an important role in many change-point detection procedures and the associated inferences. Most commonly used variance estimators require strong assumptions on the true mean structure or normality of the error distribution ...

Using multiple-point geostatistics for geomodeling of a vein-type gold deposit
Geostatistical cascade modeling of Mineral Resources is challenging in vein-type gold deposits. The narrow shape and long-range features of these auriferous veins, coupled with the paucity of drill-hole data, can complicate the modeling process and make ...

Implications of heterogeneity on transport simulations at large scale: the Morroa aquifer case
The Morroa aquifer located in Sucre state (northern Colombia) represents the exclusive source of water supply for nearly 500.000 people, including the capital of the state Sincelejo.

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

Semi-parametric dynamic time series modelling with applications to detecting neural dynamics [PDF]
This paper illustrates the theory and applications of a methodology for non-stationary time series modeling which combines sequential parametric Bayesian estimation with non-parametric change-point testing.

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

Nonparametric maximum likelihood approach to multiple change-point problems [PDF]
In multiple change-point problems, different data segments often follow different distributions, for which the changes may occur in the mean, scale or the entire distribution from one segment to another.
