Clonality and Prognostic Implications of P53 and Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor Somatic Aberrations in Multiple Primary Lung Cancers

open access: yes, 2008
Purpose: For treatment decision and prognostic applications, we evaluated p53/epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) somatic aberrations in multiple primary lung cancers to differentiate multifocal tumors from intrapulmonary metastasis.

A Case of Synchronous Multiple Lung Cancers Associated with Hamartoma in the Same Lobe

open access: yes, 1992

Mouse p53-deficient cancer models as platforms for obtaining genomic predictors of human cancer clinical outcomes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Mutations in the TP53 gene are very common in human cancers, and are associated with poor clinical outcome. Transgenic mouse models lacking the Trp53 gene or that express mutant Trp53 transgenes produce tumours with malignant features in many organs.

Loss of proton‐sensing TDAG8 increases tumor progression in mouse models of colon cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Loss of the pH‐sensing receptor TDAG8 accelerates colorectal cancer progression in mice. Animals lacking TDAG8 expression had increased tumor growth, DNA damage, and recruitment of tumor‐associated immune cells, including macrophages, neutrophils, and monocytes.

Clinical analysis of 41 cases with resected multiple primary lung cancers

open access: yesZhongguo aizheng zazhi, 2014
Background and purpose: Multiple primary lung cancers (MPLC) is a rare entity, but recently there has been a gradual increase in the number of patients diagnosed with MPLC. The aim of this study is to investigate the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of

Identification of Clonality through Genomic Profile Analysis in Multiple Lung Cancers

open access: yes, 2020
In cases of multiple lung cancers, individual tumors may represent either a primary lung cancer or both primary and metastatic lung cancers. In this study, we investigated the differences between clinical/histopathological and genomic diagnoses to ...

Epigenetic heterogeneity and plasticity in therapy‐induced tumor states through single‐cell multi‐omics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.

Management of Multiple Primary Lung Cancer in Patients with Centrally Located Early Cancer Lesions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
BackgroundPatients with centrally located early lung cancer (CLELC) are often heavy smokers with a considerably high risk of multiple primary lung cancer (MPLC) lesions; treatment strategies for such patients must preserve the cardiopulmonary function ...

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and
