NUMERICAL TREATMENT OF MINIMAX CONTROL PROBLEMS BY MULTIPLE SHOOTING

Annual Review in Automatic Programming, 1985
This paper presents the application of multiple shooting techniques to minimax optimal control problems. A standard transformation is used to convert the minimax problem into an equivalent optimal control problem with state variable inequality constraints. Using this technique the highly developed theory on the necessary conditions for state-restricted

Shaping the shoot: a circuitry that integrates multiple signals

Trends in Plant Science, 2004
Plants perceive a plethora of external signals and continuously adapt to changes in their environment. This phenotypic plasticity is obtained by integrating external signals with internal, mainly hormonal, signals that regulate developmental alterations.

Shoot Tip Culture of Helianthus annuus-Flowering and Development of Adventitious and Multiple Shoots

American Journal of Botany, 1984
Shoot multiplication of Helianthus annuus was optimal from half shoot apices cultured on MS media with 0.1–1.0 mg/1 benzyl adenine or kinetin. Auxins inhibited multiplication and promoted callusing. Rooting was poor and was not promoted by auxins. Flowering of multiple shoots was observed after as little as 3 wk of culture.

Regeneration of multiple shoots and plants from Mesembryanthemum crystallinum

Plant Cell Reports, 1991
Mesembryanthemum crystallinum plants have been regenerated via organogenesis from hypocotyl, cotyledonary node, and leaf expiants with varying frequencies. The highest regeneration frequencies were obtained from either hypocotyls (23-34%) or cotyledonary nodes (21-41%). Leaf expiants yielded very poor regeneration frequencies (0-11%).

VAIR Field - Multiple Mobile VR Shooting Sports

2018
VAIR Field is a mobile virtual reality (VR) system that enables multiple players to play a battle game with multiple mobile devices. By tracking the mobile devices’ positions and detecting their rotation and movement, VAIR Field displays images viewed from each player’s position on their displays like a head-mounted display (HMD).

Parallel performances of a nonstandard multiple shooting,

1997
A parallel multiple shooting based on the Switching-method is given. The possibility of efficient parallel implementations is explored and two parallel strategies are discussed. Computational testing on significative non-linear BVPs indicates speedups of the order of the number of processors employed.
