ON THE MULTIPLE SHOOTING CONTINUATION OF PERIODIC ORBITS BY NEWTON–KRYLOV METHODS [PDF]
The application of the multiple shooting method to the continuation of periodic orbits in large-scale dissipative systems is analyzed. A preconditioner for the linear systems which appear in the application of Newton's method is presented. It is based on the knowledge of invariant subspaces of the Jacobians at nearby solutions.

PICARD-LINDEL{\"O}F ITERATIONS AND MULTIPLE SHOOTING METHOD FOR PARAMETER ESTIMATION [PDF]
In this article, we modify the Picard-Lindelöf iteration scheme in order to show an iteration algorithm for parameter estimation of ordinary differential equations. The proposed algorithm inherited the advantages exhibited in the classical algorithms and, moreover, the parameters can be transformed to a form that are convenient and suitable for ...

Calculation of nonlinear vibrations of piecewise-linear systems using the shooting method
In this paper, an explicit formulation of the shooting scheme for computation of multiple periodic attractors of a harmonically excited oscillator which is asymmetric with both stiffness and viscous damping piecewise linearities is derived.

Low-Thrust Lyapunov to Lyapunov and Halo to Halo with $L^2$-Minimization [PDF]
In this work, we develop a new method to design energy minimum low-thrust missions (L2-minimization). In the Circular Restricted Three Body Problem, the knowledge of invariant manifolds helps us initialize an indirect method solving a transfer mission ...

Multiple Solutions of Singular Perturbation Problems [PDF]
Under certain conditions on g(x, u) we establish the existence and asymptotic behavior for small ε > 0 of multiple asymptotic solutions of the nonlinear boundary value problem εu" + u’ - g(x,u) = 0, 0 < x < 1, u’(0) - au(0)= A ≥ 0, a > 0, u’(1) + bu(

The shooting method and multiple solutions of two/multi-point BVPs of second-order ODE
Within the last decade, there has been growing interest in the study of multiple solutions of two- and multi-point boundary value problems of nonlinear ordinary differential equations as fixed points of a cone mapping.
