Multiplexed Analysis of Proteins in Tissue Using Multispectral Fluorescence Imaging

IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging, 2010
We present a new application of multispectral analysis for subcellular measurement of multiple proteins in formalin-fixed paraffin embedded tissue and cells. Typically, the targets of interest are present in the same or spatially overlapping cellular compartments.

Highly specific multiplexed RNA imaging in tissues with split-FISH

Nature Methods, 2020
We present split-FISH, a multiplexed fluorescence in situ hybridization method that leverages a split-probe design to achieve enhanced specificity. Split-FISH reduces off-target background fluorescence, decreases false positives and enables accurate RNA profiling in uncleared tissues.

High-speed super-multiplex imaging of brain tissue

Advanced Chemical Microscopy for Life Science and Translational Medicine 2021, 2021
Cells within the brain are highly organized and coordinate complex processes with each other. The ability to simultaneously visualize the organization and interactions of cells and molecules within brain tissue remains an important issue to understand the brain comprehensively.

A Hitchhiker's guide to high-dimensional tissue imaging with multiplexed ion beam imaging

Methods in Cell Biology
Advancements in multiplexed tissue imaging technologies are vital in shaping our understanding of tissue microenvironmental influences in disease contexts. These technologies now allow us to relate the phenotype of individual cells to their higher-order roles in tissue organization and function.

Highly Multiplexed, Quantitative Tissue Imaging at Cellular Resolution

Current Pathobiology Reports, 2019
There is a contemporary push to map tissues and their disease states quantitatively at single-cell and spatial resolution, but standard assays to do so, such as immunohistochemistry, have been historically lowly multiplexed (2–4 measurements). This push has driven the development of several new multiplexed techniques for quantitative tissue imaging ...

Immuno-Nanoparticles for Multiplex Protein Imaging in Cells and Tissues

BioChip Journal, 2018
Simultaneous visualization of numerous proteins in cells and tissues is fundamental for understanding their diversity and dynamics and to address the heterogeneity of human diseases. Despite the many advantages of multiplex analysis, current methods typically rely upon immunohistochemistry, which can only be used to detect a few proteins.
