Bicommutants of Algebras of Multiplication Operators
Proceedings of the London Mathematical Society, 1996The classical von Neumann bicommutant theorem states that if \(B\) is a unital self-adjoint closed subalgebra of operators on a Hilbert space, then the bicommutant of \(B\) coincides with the closure of \(B\) in the weak operator topology. This theorem has no direct counterpart for algebras of operators on a Banach space.

MULTIPLE EIGENVALUES OF THE LAPLACE OPERATOR
Mathematics of the USSR-Sbornik, 1988The estimates from above for the multiplicity of the eigenvalues of the Schrödinger operators on compact Riemannian two-dimensional manifolds are obtained. The paper contains also several examples illustrating the sharpness of the results.

Multiplication operator on a matrix polynomial
Ukrainian Mathematical Journal, 1992Summary: It is shown, how the study of the perturbed multiplication operator by a matrix polynomial in the space \(L_ 2(\mathbb{R},\mathbb{C}^ n)\) can be reduced to the study of the perturbed multiplication operator by the independent variable in the space \(L_ 2(\mathbb{R},\omega,\mathbb{C}^ n)\) with weight \(\omega\), fulfilling the Muckenhoupt ...

Convexity of the spectrum of a multiplication operator
The paper under review proves the following results: Each compact subset of the complex plane is the spectrum of a multiplication operator \(A\) on \(L^2(\nu)\), where \(\nu\) is the Lebesgue meaure on \(\mathbb{R}^2\) restricted on \(F\). Let \(C^*(A)\) be the \(C^*\)-algebra generated by \(A\). Then \(F\) is convex if and only if the pure state spaceHeydari, Mohammad Taghi +1 more

Discrete analogue of generalized Hardy spaces and multiplication operators on homogenous trees
, 2016In this article, we define discrete analogue of generalized Hardy spaces and its separable subspace on a homogenous rooted tree and study some of its properties such as completeness, inclusion relations with other spaces, separability, growth estimate ...
