A framework for multi‐provider virtual private networks in software‐defined federated networks

open access: yesInternational Journal of Network Management, Volume 30, Issue 6, November/December 2020., 2020
Federated networks represent a remunerable operational way allowing federated partners to increase their incomes through sharing their resources. We propose an software‐defined network (SDN)–based framework to overcome limitations in currently adopted best practices to issue virtual private networks in federated networks.

SD-WAN over MPLS: A Comprehensive Performance Analysis and Security with Insights into the Future of SD-WAN [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
Software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN) enhances network traffic management, while Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) offers efficient data transmission. This paper analyzes SD-WAN over MPLS in the Housing Bank, a major Algerian financial institution.

A track-before-detect labelled multi-Bernoulli particle filter with label switching [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, vol. 52, no. 5, pp. 2123-2138, October 2016, 2016
This paper presents a multitarget tracking particle filter (PF) for general track-before-detect measurement models. The PF is presented in the random finite set framework and uses a labelled multi-Bernoulli approximation. We also present a label switching improvement algorithm based on Markov chain Monte Carlo that is expected to increase filter ...

Link Coloring in Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) Networks to Enable Selective Link Deprioritization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
In multiprotocol label switching, link colors can be assigned to network interfaces to exclude (or to include) certain classes of traffic from specific paths. Under certain network failure scenarios, a color-exclusionary link can disrupt traffic.

Hierarchical Multiobjective Routing Model in MPLS Networks with Two Service Classes – A Comparison Case Study

open access: yesJournal of Telecommunications and Information Technology, 2012
A two-level hierarchical multicriteria routing model for multiprotocol label switching networks with two service classes (QoS, i.e., with quality of service requirements, and best effort services) and alternative routing is reviewed in this paper.
