Multiscale Latent Variable Regression
Multiscale wavelet-based representation of data has been shown to be a powerful tool in feature extraction from practical process data. In this paper, this characteristic of multiscale representation is utilized to improve the prediction accuracy of some

USe3 is introduced as an actinide van der Waals semiconductor that mirrors the quasi‐one‐dimensional physics of transition‐metal trichalcogenides. Polarization‐resolved Raman spectroscopy on exfoliated flakes maps strong in‐plane phonon anisotropy and strain‐tunable mode shifts.

Reduced Noise Effect in Nonlinear Model Estimation Using Multiscale Representation
Nonlinear process models are widely used in various applications. In the absence of fundamental models, it is usually relied on empirical models, which are estimated from measurements of the process variables.

Multiscale modeling of the elasto-plastic behavior of architectured and nanostructured Cu-Nb composite wires and comparison with neutron diffraction experiments [PDF]
Nanostructured and architectured copper niobium composite wires are excellent candidates for the generation of intense pulsed magnetic fields ( 100T) as they combine both high strength and high electrical conductivity.

A trimodal anode architecture spatially regulates silicon clusters within confined interstitial environments formed by graphite and contorted hexabenzocoronene. This confinement suppresses silicon aggregation and localized stress while enabling efficient Li‐ion transport, achieving high‐capacity, stable lithium‐ion batteries.

Image-based Multiscale Shape Description using Gaussian Filter [PDF]
In shape recognition, a multiscale description provides more information about the object, increases discrimination power and immunity to noise. In this paper, we develop a new multiscale Fourier-based object description in 2-D space using a low-pass ...

Architecture‐Driven Functional Coupling in Vertically Aligned Nanocomposites
Vertically aligned nanocomposites define a growth‐engineered architecture in which vertical interfaces, strain fields, defect pathways, and phase connectivity are created simultaneously. This review shows how these architectural features couple ferroic, optical, ionic, electrochemical, and device responses, establishing design rules and open challenges
