Nearly-optimal quantum control: analytical approach
We propose nearly-optimal control strategies for changing states of a quantum system. We argue that quantum control optimization can be studied analytically within some protocol families that depend on a small set of parameters for optimization.

A mobility analysis of the occupational status of the graduates of the University of Palermo in an economic crisis context [PDF]
In such a global economic crisis context, our aims are describing the mobility of the Palermitan graduates in the labour market, identifying the variables that influence most their occupational status and finally outlining a transition probability ...

On multistability behavior of unstable dissipative systems [PDF]
We present dissipative systems with unstable dynamics called the unstable dissipative systems which are capable of generating a multi-stable behavior, i.e., depending on its initial condition, the trajectory of the system converges to a specific attractor.

Two‐Dimensional Triferroics: From Fundamental Couplings to Multifunctional Applications
This graphic summarizes the three main types of currently reported 2D triferroic couplings. From the structural perspective, existing systems can be broadly classified into two categories, which exhibit distinct symmetry features and coupling behaviors. Beyond the lattice difference, a third type involves the interplay among ferroelectricity, magnetism,

Retina‐Inspired Bi‐Based Terahertz Photonic Neuromorphic Devices
Combined with effective band alignment and substrate engineering, bismuth materials are introduced to form terahertz photonic bio‐inspired devices with picosecond short‐term plasticity to enable multi‐scene visual perception. Thus obtained hardware through the terahertz optical neural network (THz‐ONN) demonstrates high recognition accuracy, providing ...

Ferroelectric HfO2/ZrO2 Superlattice Capacitors With High Center to Edge Wafer‐Scale Uniformity
“Enhanced wafer‐scale device uniformity on 150 mm wafers is demonstrated using ferroelectric superlattice HfO2/ZrO2 (HZO) capacitors, as compared to conventional solid solution HZO capacitors. Superlattice HZO exhibits improved ferroelectric memory properties, including a broader polarization window, greater endurance, reduced leakage, and superior ...
