The Design of Linear Multivariable Systems

open access: yesIFAC Proceedings Volumes, 1972
Abstract This paper describes a computer-aided procedure whereby a succession of singleloop designs, using Nyquist loci, yield a multivariable design which is stable and strongly attenuates disturbances. The procedure permits more freedom than heretofore available for the choice of the compensating matrix.

Dementia Incidence in Individuals With Parkinson's Disease in the Framingham Heart Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Limited information exists on incident dementia in individuals with Parkinson's disease (PD) in US community‐based samples. We examined cognitive statuses and PD diagnoses of 183 individuals in the Framingham Heart Study (FHS) to establish incident dementia, mortality rates, associations with sex, age at PD onset, and education level.

Multivariable controller design using pareto front

open access: yes, 2011
A multivariable thermal system with two inputs and two outputs is investigated. Its inputs are a pair of heaters controlled by a computer while its outputs are temperatures measured by two sensors.

Decentralized Fuzzy-PID Based Control Model for a Multivariable Liquid Level System [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Advances in Computer Engineering and Technology, 2018
Multivariable liquid level control is essential in process industries to ensure quality of the product and safety of the equipment. However, the significant problems of the control system include excessive time consumption and percentage overshoot, which

Predictive control of multivariable time-delay systems

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
In technical practice often occur multivariable processes with time delay. Time-delays are mainly caused by the time required to transport mass, energy or information, but they can also be caused by processing time or accumulation.

White Matter Hyperintensity Burden and Short‐Interval Change Associated With Sleep Apnoea in the UK Biobank

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background and Purpose White matter hyperintensities (WMH) are a core neuroimaging marker of cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD). Sleep apnoea (SA) is a recognized vascular risk factor, but its associations with regional WMH burden, short‐interval WMH change and cognitive performance in population‐based cohorts remain incompletely defined. We

Multivariable Gaussian Evolving Fuzzy Modeling System

open access: yes, 2015
This paper introduces a class of evolving fuzzy rule-based system as an approach for multivariable Gaussian adaptive fuzzy modeling. The system is an evolving Takagi-Sugeno (eTS) functional fuzzy model, whose rule base can be continuously updated using a

Comprehensive Assessment of Arterial, Tissue, and Venous Collaterals for Evaluating the Infarct Growth Rate: The Multimodal Collateral Score

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Collaterals are crucial factors that influence the infarct growth rate (IGR). We aimed to determine whether a comprehensive multimodal collateral score (MCS), incorporating collateral assessment at the arterial, tissue, and venous levels, is associated with functional independence and provides incremental prognostic value over ...

Design and experimental evaluation of iterative learning controllers on a multivariable test facility

open access: yes, 2013
Iterative learning control (ILC) algorithms are employed in many applications, especially these involving single-input and single-output plants undertaking repeated tasks with finite-time interval.
