Regulation of myeloid leukaemia by the cell-fate determinant Musashi [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 2010
Chronic myelogenous leukaemia (CML) can progress from a slow growing chronic phase to an aggressive blast crisis phase, but the molecular basis of this transition remains poorly understood. Here we have used mouse models of CML to show that disease progression is regulated by the Musashi-Numb signalling axis.

Molecular and clinical features of a Japanese medulloblastoma cohort: Subgroup‐specific prognostic stratification using economical/accessible diagnostic methods

open access: yesBrain Pathology, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the molecular subgroup–specific features of a nationwide Japanese cohort comprising 242 medulloblastomas (MBs). Furthermore, we introduce SEE‐6‐CNA, a simple, cost‐effective, and FFPE‐compatible molecular test that is applicable to routine pathology samples and serves as a surrogate for risk stratification in non‐WNT/non‐SHH ...

Focused Ultrasound‐Induced Mechanical Ablation Affects the Carbohydrate Metabolism of Residual/Peri‐Focally Localized Glioblastoma Cells

open access: yesInternational Journal of Cancer, Volume 159, Issue 4, Page 1005-1016, 15 August 2026.
Glioblastoma (GBM) is highly aggressive and therapy‐resistant, warranting exploration of novel treatment strategies, among them mechanical high‐intensity focused ultrasound (mFUS), which holds significant promise for tumor ablation. The present study examined mFUS‐induced changes specifically in carbohydrate metabolism, which affects vulnerability to ...

Indirect and Selective Patterning Strategy of Silver Nanowires Using Elastomer Poly(vinylidene Fluoride‐Co‐Hexafluoropropylene) for Stretchable Electronics

open access: yesphysica status solidi (a), Volume 223, Issue 12, 24 June 2026.
An indirect and selective patterning strategy is introduced to form embedded silver nanowire (AgNW) electrodes using the interfacial adhesion contrast between e‐PVDF‐HFP and PDMS. This method enables multiscale AgNW electrode patterning without masks or etching and improves mechanical and environmental stability.

Tissue‐Stimulator Platform for Electrically Stimulating Pancreatic β‐Cells for Long‐Term Functional Regulation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 49, 18 June 2026.
We present a tissue‐stimulator platform for seamless electrode integration with pancreatic tissue, applying uniform electrical stimulation through optimized design with biohybrid 3D printing. Advantageous effects of electrical stimulation on β‐cell function were observed, including enhanced calcium signaling, islet morphology, and maturation.

Transdermal Delivery of an mRNA‐Liposome Vaccine via Dissolving Microneedle to Preserve Vaccine Activity and Enhance Immune Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 34, 19 June 2026.
An mRNA‐liposome vaccine via dissolving microneedles (ML‐DMN) enables efficient skin‐targeted delivery while preserving mRNA integrity and allowing sustained antigen expression. Unlike intramuscular (IM) injection, ML‐DMN engages skin‐resident immune cells, activates antigen‐presenting cells (APCs), and induces strong T cell and cytokine responses at ...
