Streamlining Paediatric Palliative Radiotherapy: A Case Study on Reducing Procedural Burden and Avoiding General Anaesthesia Using a Simulation‐Free Radiotherapy (SF‐RT) Protocol

open access: yesJournal of Medical Radiation Sciences, EarlyView.
This paper presents two cases of young children who were treated with simulation‐free radiotherapy. We demonstrate that this workflow is feasible in children requiring palliative radiotherapy with the potential to expedite treatment, reduce procedural burden on the child and their family, and eliminate a general anaesthetic procedure.
