Improving user security during a call

open access: yesРадіоелектронні і комп'ютерні системи
The recent development of mobile networks has led to the emergence of new threats and methods of implementing existing ones. Phishing attacks, including robocalls, are causing record losses to both individual users and large corporations.

The Mitochondrial Guardian α‐Amyrin Mitigates Alzheimer's Disease Pathology via Modulation of the DLK‐SARM1‐ULK1 Axis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dietary habits play a key role in chronic diseases, and higher annual consumption of fruit and vegetable may lower risk of dementia. Artificial intelligence predicts the lipid‐like compound α‐Amyrin (αA) from plants with edible peels as a drug candidate against Alzheimer's disease.

Endocytic Control of Cell‐Autonomous and Non‐Cell‐Autonomous Functions of p53

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
NUMB Ex3‐containing isoforms localize to the plasma membrane, where they recruit p53 through SNX9 and direct it to multivesicular bodies and exosomes. Exported p53 is taken up by neighboring cells and activates nuclear programs, revealing an intercellular, exosome‐based pathway that might help establish a tumor‐suppressive microenvironment.

Ufmylation‐Deficient DDRGK1 Ameliorates Obesity by Inhibiting FASN‐Mediated Adipocyte Lipogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
DDRGK1 regulates de novo lipogenesis via stabilization of fatty acid synthase (FASN). DDRGK1‐mediated UFMylation of FASN prevents its ubiquitin–proteasomal degradation. Reduced DDRGK1 expression or mutation at the key UFMylation site enhances FASN degradation and suppresses fatty acid synthesis (FAS), resulting in smaller adipocytes and improved ...

Forgery Attack is a Piece of Cake on a Class of Mutual Authentication Protocols

open access: yesInternational Journal of Information and Communication Technology Research, 2012
A suitable mutual authentication protocol for an RFID system should provide mutual authentication along with user privacy. In addition, such protocol must be resistant to active and passive attacks, e.g.

NuSAP Safeguards Centriole Integrity to Mediate CEP57‐CEP152 Torus Recruitment for Proper Engagement

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals a novel role for the microtubule stabilizer NuSAP at centrioles. NuSAP depletion destabilizes the centriole's tubulin structure, causing premature disengagement, PCM defects, and mis‐localization of the CEP57‐CEP63‐CEP152 complex. By reinforcing centriole architecture, NuSAP enables early CEP57 loading and initiates a newly proposed ...
