Fast Signal Recovery in the Presence of Mutual Coupling Based on New 2-D Direct Data Domain Approach

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, 2011
The performance of adaptive algorithms, including direct data domain least square, can be significantly degraded in the presence of mutual coupling among array elements.

Mutual Coupling Compensation for Direction-of-Arrival Estimations Using the Receiving-Mutual-Impedance Method

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2010
A short review of the receiving-mutual-impedance method (RMIM) for mutual coupling compensation in direction finding applications using linear array is conducted.

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Inferring the directionality of coupling with conditional mutual information

open access: yesPhysical Review E, 2008
Uncovering the directionality of coupling is a significant step in understanding drive-response relationships in complex systems. In this paper, we discuss a nonparametric method for detecting the directionality of coupling based on the estimation of information theoretic functionals.

Translating whole‐genome doubling into precision medicine in cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Whole‐genome doubling creates a WGD‐positive tumor state characterized by persistent chromosomal instability, karyotypic diversification, and cellular stress. These same biological pressures drive aggressive tumor evolution while exposing therapeutic vulnerabilities, providing a rationale for WGD‐informed precision medicine. Whole‐genome doubling (WGD)

Investigation into the Impact of Mutual Coupling on the Performance of a Multiuser MIMO System Employing Generalized Channel Inversion Technique

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2011
In this paper, the performance of generalized channel inversion (GCI) technique for a multiuser MIMO system operating under antenna mutual coupling conditions is investigated.

Interferon beta drives therapy resistance in a patient‐derived model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Interferon type 1 (IFN‐1) production and signaling is associated with the acquisition of therapy resistance, following chronic DNA damage, via Interferon‐related DNA damage resistance signature (IRDS) gene expression. An alternative, DNA damage‐independent role of sustained IFN‐1 mediated resistance was identified and characterized by the emergence of ...

Mutual coupling compensation for direction finding using receiving mutual impedance [PDF]

open access: yes2014 International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation Conference Proceedings, 2014
The accuracy of direction finding using antenna arrays with different array apertures is studied. Numerical simulations are performed using full-wave moment method. The undesirable mutual coupling effect is properly modelled and compensated using receiving-mutual-impedance and the direction finding is obtained using the Matrix Pencil Method.

ADP‐ribosylation: An emerging regulator of the epigenome

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ADP‐ribosylation has emerged as a dynamic epigenetic signaling mechanism that modifies histones and chromatin‐associated proteins. Through coordinated PARylation and MARylation, it integrates with other histone modifications to regulate chromatin structure, transcription factor activity, and gene expression, influencing genome function and disease ...

DOA Estimation Using Fourth-Order Cumulants in Nested Arrays with Structured Imperfections

open access: yesSensors, 2020
Recently developed super nested array families have drawn much attention owing to their merits on keeping the benefits of the standard nested arrays while further mitigating coupling in dense subarray portions.
